Ms. Scott-Pickens is the Director of Community Outreach and Community-Based Learning at the Rutgers School of Criminal Justice.Previously, Ms. Scott-Pickens was involved with the Juvenile Re-entry Coordinating Council, Essex Vicinage’s Advisory Committee on Minority Concerns, and the U.S. Department of Justice, just to name a few, where she provided consultation and assistance on matters of children’s rights, minority concerns, and  prisoner re-entry efforts.  With an extensive background in community outreach and advocacy, Ms. Scott-Pickens maintains close relations with various levels of government, and remains an active member of various non-profit organizations, faith-based institutions and criminal justice endeavors.
