5th Annual Senator Ron Rice Lecture on Criminal Justice and Public Policy
It is with great pleasure and honor that we welcome Stefania Kaplanes as our keynote speaker at this year’s 5th annual Senator Ron Rice Lecture on Criminal Justice and Public Policy with a presentation titled, “Live in Peace! Why wait until you. Rest? – Understanding How to Reduce Gun Violence”. Stefania is the Injury Prevention Specialist at Highland Hospital/Alameda Health System.
The Senator Ron Rice Lecture on Criminal Justice and Public Policy was initiated in 2014 in honor of our alumnus, Senator Ron Rice, to feature cutting edge discussions of justice innovations involving the intersection of criminal justice policy and practice. Once a year, we invite a distinguished speaker to appear before an audience of approximately 100-120 guests to shed light on contemporary topics. This prestigious lecture series is made possible through the continuous collaborative efforts of our partners: Rutgers Law School, the Graduate School, and the Office of the Chancellor at Rutgers University–Newark. The event is free and open to the public.
