Bio

Pilar Larroulet is an Assistant Professor in the School of Criminal Justice at Rutgers University. Her research focuses on continuity in offending behavior within and across generations, as well as the consequences of interactions with the criminal justice system, with a particular emphasis on gender and incarceration. Prior to joining Rutgers, Pilar served as an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology at the Universidad Católica de Chile. She earned her PhD in criminology and criminal justice from the University of Maryland in 2020.
